Confined Space Rescue Training

This course is intended to allow the participants to be involved in rescue techniques for entry rescue as well as non-entry rescue. The topics covered in this program will test the participant’s ability to function as part of an emergency rescue team under the guidelines stated in the following:

  • NFPA 1670 – Standards on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents
  • NFPA 1983 – Standards on Life safety Ropes and System Components
  • NFPA 1006, Part 9 – Confined Space Entry Rescue
  • OH&S Act, Reg 692, pts. 67-71
  • Ontario Ministry of Labour OHSA – Confined Space Regulation

  • All participants will be involved in various rescue scenarios
